This week, we will welcome an estimated 600 people to The Salem Convention Center for The Champions for Children Luncheon hosted by the Liberty House Child Abuse Assessment Center on Thursday, September 29, 12-1pm. The luncheon is an annual event to build community awareness about the crucial issue of child abuse and neglect, while raising financial and in-kind support for Liberty House's work with children and families. The luncheon is free to attend and guests are asked to consider a contribution to the Liberty House. All proceeds go directly to providing services for children who may have been abused or neglected. Liberty House, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is a neutral child abuse assessment center. Services available include a head-to-toe check-up and a carefully designed interview in an environment designed for kids. Liberty House also provides information and support for non-offending caregivers.
