The Salem Oregon community takes a great deal of pride in the growing restaurant scene, especially here in the downtown area. Dozens of innovative chefs and restauranteurs from all over the world have brought their culinary gifts to Oregon's capital city with new additions every year. Sadly, all Oregon restaurants have had to stop offering their signature dining experiences in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, but that's not stopping our restaurant community! Many local restaurants have pivoted to providing takeout or delivery orders to stay afloat, keep staff employed and feed our hungry community at a time when we need it the most. These hometown heroes are preparing and in some cases, delivering a wide variety of dining and meal options ranging from comfort food, deli, ethnic, chain, seafood and fine dining. To bring business to our favorite local eateries during these uniquely challenging times, our friends at The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce are keeping diners informed and engaged with Salem Eats, an active Facebook group dedicated to sharing the most up-to-date info on local restaurants.
