The Family Building Blocks Dream Builders Luncheon is coming to The Salem Convention Center next Wednesday and the public is invited (reservations required)! Family Building Blocks is a nonprofit organization that works to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect by providing services for high-risk families that have children six weeks to five years old. The luncheon is a 60-minute presentation describing the work of Family Building Blocks and the extraordinary return on investment of helping children get off to a positive start in life. Guests leave the luncheon educated and motivated to make a difference. There is no cost to attend but reservations are required. If you would like to make a reservation or become a table captain or sponsor, please contact Brooke Gries at Family Building Blocks at (503) 566-2132 ext. 308 or bgries@familybuildingblocks.org. Every dollar donated at the luncheon will be used to directly help children and families through Family Building Blocks' therapeutic classes, home visits, parenting classes, emergency respite, food pantry and clothes closet. In the last year, FBB has extended services out to Stayton, Lyons, and Mehama, providing in-home visits and facilitating playgroups so parents can get support and learn how to break the cycles of drugs, poverty, and abuse that have been perpetuated in their families.
