We didn’t think it could get any better than to win the “Best of the Northwest 2015” award, until now. The Salem Convention Center has once again been recognized “Best Convention Center in Oregon” by Northwest Meetings & Events magazine.
“This is a tremendous honor,” says Chrissie Bertsch, General Manager at Salem Conference Center. “To be recognized for two years in a row by meeting and event planners from Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon and Washington speaks volumes about the quality of our entire operation.”
The SCC team traveled to Seattle, WA to attend the magazine’s awards ceremony with representatives from top venue and meeting service organizations all over the Northwest regions.
The Salem Convention Center was among the top three finalists for five years in a row before taking first place in 2015. Even though we are not the largest venue in the state of Oregon, we are quickly becoming the preferred venue with professional meeting planners. Why is this?

Since our facility opened in 2005, nearly a million event attendees from around the state, region, nation and across the globe have traveled here to attend multi-day conventions and conferences and one-day or half-day workshops and meetings. We’re also proud to host a regular stream of clients celebrating weddings, family reunions, special occasions and fundraisers.
